- 8 Students receive Foursquare National Scholarship Award out of over 120 applicants from the Lagos phase of the scholarship
- 5 Undergraduates and 3 secondary school students
- 3 Students from the University of Lagos among 5 undergraduate awardees
- 1 McPherson students also among awardees
The Foursquare National Scholarship Board on Sunday 16th of May 2021, awarded 8 students from the Lagos region with scholarship to enable them further their studies. The award ceremony was held during the youth service at the Foursquare Gospel Church Headquarters Yaba, Lagos.
The Chairman of the board Pst. Rotimi Idowu in his speech during the ceremony thanked the G.O of foursquare Gospel Church, Rev. Sam Aboyeji for the scholarship initiative, the Foursquare National Sectary, Rev. Yomi Oyinloye for his continuous supports, the members of his board Pst. Sam Adebowale (Sectary of the Board), Eric Uwaoma, Dcn. Prof. Olukemi Lawanson Pst. Edward Adetoro, Pst. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Abegunde and Andre Ewubare. for their tireless effort in making the initiative a success, the applicants for their participation and the awardees for coming out on top after going the competitive application process and screening exercise.
The presentation was done by the G.O and his wife Rev. Mrs. Aboyeji, afterward the G.O prayed for the awardees.
The Awardees were encouraged by the chairman to keep up their good performance to enable to continue to enjoy the benefits of the Foursquare National Scholarship Scheme.
Among three secondary school students are Teminioluwa Sultan (Ikorodu Senior Grammer School), Angel Samuel (Federal Government College), Mercy Uwadiale (Senior Model College Igbokuta). While among the undergraduates are Adekunbi Adeyinka (Chemical and Polymer Engineering, Lagos State University), Promise Chika (Computer Science, McPherson Universitiy), Adebayo Olumuyiwa (Mechanical Engineering, University of Lagos), Ireoluwa Olutunmbi (Medicine & Surgery, University of Lagos), Priscilla Segun Ojo (Quantity Surveying, University of Lagos).
